Kent County Will Do Virtual Town Hall
Technology has come along way and to keep people safe, Kent County, Michigan, health official will be using that technology for a virtual town hall meeting Friday.
According to WOOD, to help answer your questions on COVID-19, Friday at 2 p.m. is when you can see the virtual town hall meeting on the Kent County Health Departments Facebook page.
You will be able to ask question live to Director Dr. Adam London, Medical Director Nirali Bora and Supervising Epidemiologist Brian Hartl.
If you would like to get a head start on your questions, you can submit those in advance on the health department's Facebook page.
So far Michigan has 2,856 confirmed cases and 60 deaths related to COVID-19. With Wednesday's test, so far Kent County has 41 confirmed cases.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, NBC News and state officials have combined data and it shows Michigan has the sixth highest number of deaths linked to cornavirus and the fifth highest number of confirmed cases in the United States.
If you are wondering if you should get tested look for these symptoms first, you develop a fever, coughing and if you are having shortness of breath. Most people who actually get COVID-19 the symptoms are mild. It is the folks who have preexisting health issues and the elderly are the ones who are at the most risk.
