After four months of searching, police can finally call the search off on a missing West Michigan man. However an unfortunate situation has resulted in a sad ending.

A body was pulled from the Grand River this past Saturday and the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office confirmed the man's identity on Monday after an autopsy was conducted. WOOD-TV says the body of 36-year-old Thomas Kasack was found Polktown Charter Township, near Coopersville, on Saturday around 6 p.m.

Kasack, a resident of Grand Haven, went missing back in November and was last seen on the 12th

...walking down Lake Michigan Drive near 48th Street in Allendale Township.

Police say no foul play is suspected but his death remains a mystery. Nothing more than the man's identity was revealed from the autopsy.

If you have any tips that can help authorities solve the case, you're asked to call the Silent Observer at (877) 887.4536 or the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office at 616.738.4000.

On a lighter note, check out this awesome video of firefighters rescuing a horse from an icy pond in Wayland. It happened a couple weeks ago and thankfully the horse has made a full recovery!
