New Seafood Restaurant from the Owners of San Chez FINALLY Opening Downtown Grand Rapids
Love seafood? A new seafood restaurant from San Chez is opening downtown Grand Rapids next week!
I've seen the signs up for a long time now for Beacon Corner Bar next to San Chez Tapas Bistro on Fulton St. West. As with so many things, the grand opening was delayed by the pandemic. That changes soon!
San Chez Restaurants has been a part of the Grand Rapids dining scene since 1992. The owners opened ROAM by San Chez downtown GR in 2018.
Here's how the owners describe the new restaurant:
Beacon Corner Bar is a seafood restaurant serving coastal and land fare. The concept was inspired by spending summers off of Long Island in a clamming and fishing community. Serving seafood from the three coasts, East, West, and Michigan, Beacon Corner Bar will have new twists on traditional seafood classics, boils, and handhelds for our non-seafood eating friends.
Last month, Beacon Corner Bar shared they were finalizing their menu. They've been taking suggestions on what they should serve on their Facebook page, if you'd like to offer some suggestions.
Beacon Corner Bar announced to Facebook the grand opening is New Year's Eve. The new restaurant will be open Friday, December 31, 3p.m. to 10p.m. They're not accepting reservations, walk-ins only, so I'd suggest going early if you want to get in!
If you're going to be out and about on New Year's Eve, here are some other festivities around town to check out!
