There are five NWS offices that cover the state. Four of them are in Michigan and one region of Michigan is overseen from out-of-state. However, none of the four NWS offices in Michigan have any coverage area outside of Michigan.
There are three NWS offices in the Lower Peninsula and one in the Upper Peninsula.

Starting from the north and running clockwise, here are the National Weather Service offices that track Michigan weather.
National Weather Service Marquette
The NWS Marquette Office is along US 41 near Negaunee. This office oversees all of the central and western Upper Peninsula. Across the Wisconsin border, NWS offices in either Green Bay or Duluth take over forecasting responsibilities.
National Weather Service Gaylord
The entirety of the Norther Lower Peninsula and eastern Upper Peninsula including the very weather active Straits of Mackinac are under the jurisdiction of the NWS office in Gaylord. This office is between Gaylord and Waters off of I-75 just south of Otsego Lake.
National Weather Service Detroit
The Detroit NWS office is located in the far northwest suburbs in Oakland County's White Lake. This office oversees the eastern lower half of the Lower Peninsula from roughly Monroe to Bay City. South of the state line, the NWS Cleveland Office takes over.
National Weather Service Northwest Indiana
Located in North Webster, Indiana, this NWS office has oversight of six counties on Michigan's southern border: Berrien, Cass, St Joseph, Branch and Hillsdale.
National Weather Service Grand Rapids
This NWS office for West Michigan is located adjacent to G. R. Ford International Airport. This office oversees West Michigan from South Haven/Kalamazoo north to Ludington.
