It seems like it hasn't been that long ago that City Built Brewing opened their doors on the north side of downtown Grand Rapids. Believe it or not, they are planning their 5th anniversary party and it will be a great day for so many reasons.

The proceeds from the festival will benefit the Grand Rapids Public School Foundation. The Foundation's goal is to "raise, grow and steward funds and other community resources to support students who attend Grand Rapids Public Schools".

Additional information about "Bridge Blast 2022" can be found on the City Built Brewing Facebook page.

The Sixth Street Bridge was built with rust-resistant wrought iron back in 1886 by the Massillon Bridge Company from Ohio. The original cost of constructing the bridge was only $31,000. The bridge was almost demolished in 1975, but through the efforts of concerned citizens, the bridge was preserved. The Sixth Street Bridge is the longest pin-connected highway truss in the state of Michigan. The bridge is the oldest remaining metal bridge in Michigan and is listed in the National Historic Register of Historic Places.
