Paws With A Cause Bark-A-Thon — Thursday, October 11th
Did you know that there is an organization right here in West Michigan that provides assistance dogs to those who need them? It's Paws With A Cause and their headquarters are in Wayland.
The assistance dogs are provided free to the client, however these dogs do not come cheap. There are many costs to raise and train and service dog...from raising and fostering the puppy, to veterinarian checkups, shots, training, transportation and so much more. The average cost to get a client a service dog is $30,000.
Paws With a Cause is having a Bark-A-Thon on Thursday, October 11th, 2018. It is a 12-hour phone-in fundraiser to reach $30,000 in one day. That is enough to sponsor one client-dog team. You can donate by calling (616) 877-7297 between 7:30 am and 7:30 pm.
In 2017, Paws With a Cause…
