Perhaps The Best 60th Anniversary Tribute To The Mackinac Bridge [Video]
Henry Zeman was a 35 year old writer for the Grand Rapids Press in 1954. He was assigned to cover the building of the Mackinac Bridge, connecting Michigan's two peninsulas. He took some amazing photos of the construction and opening, some recently discovered and seen in this photo essay for the first time ever.
Henry's granddaughter, Jaquelyn, discovered some photos from Henry's personal collectio that had never before been made public and added those in for a unique view of the construction of the Big Mac, which recently celebrated the 60th anniversary of it s opening in 1957.
This is wonderfully done, and is a testament to the workers who built the bridge, as well as the engineers who designed it. Enjoy.
