While fishing in Oscoda over the weekend, Robby Rase noticed a small raccoon swimming toward him.

The next thing he knew, the rodent was on board his kayak, hitching a ride. Robby kept his distance and helped the little guy successfully reunite with the shore line.

“It was a little bit unnerving. I didn’t know what it was going to do,” Rase told WNEM News. “I know they carry some diseases – rabies, distemper, stuff like that. But he crawled under my seat and that’s where he stayed when I was riding my kayak.”
