On this week's episode of "What's being recalled today?" This time around its Kotex brand tampons. The company posted on their website that they've issued a nationwide recall of their products sold in the U.S. and Canada after reports of being defective.

'Defective' is the last word I want to hear when it comes to my feminine products, but Kimberly-Clark Corporation, the parent company, says they received complaints of the product

...unraveling and/or coming apart upon removal...

Even worse, some people had to get medical attention to get pieces of the tampon removed from their body. And in a few cases, reports of vaginal infections and injuries.

The recall only affects the U by Kotex® Sleek® Tampons (regular absorbency) and was made between October 7, 2016 and October 16, 2018. This includes the 3, 18, and 34 count packages. Retailers have already been notified to remove the product from shelves. All other varieties of U by Kotex are safe to use.
