Semi-Truck Spills 77,000 Pounds Of Hot Dogs On US-31
Yesterday afternoon, Thursday, May 10th, a semi-truck carrying 70,000 pounds of hot dogs spilled its contents on the side of US-31. The semi-truck was struck by a sedan after the sedan was run off the road by a pickup truck, which fled the scene.
The drivers of the semi-truck and sedan were rushed to the hospital but both were conscious and talking when entering the ambulance. Emergency responders attempted to save as many of the Ball Park Hot Dogs as possible. It is unknown how many weiners survived.
If Harry Chapin was still alive, he'd have a brand new song to rival his classic "30,000 Pounds of Bananas." (If you haven't heard that song before, you should check it out. Especially if you have kids, they'll love it.)
