UPDATE: According to the Kent County Sheriff's Office, two victims were later located at area hospitals. A 16-year-old male from Texas was shot in the wrist and is in stable condition.  A 40-year-old female from Grand Rapids was shot in the wrist and the abdomen.  She is in critical, but stable condition.

ORIGINAL STORY: At least one person has been injured in a shooting incident at a graduation ceremony at East Kentwood High School Thursday night.

According to the Kent County Sheriff's Office, the suspects are still on the loose.  At this time, police believe there are more than two individuals that shot firearms.

The shootings occurred at approximately 7:20p.m.

Fox 17 reports that a teacher who was on the scene at the time has confirmed that multiple shots were fired.

According to a release from Kentwood Public School Superintendent Kevin Polston, the shooting occurred following the Crossroads Alternative High School graduation ceremony.

There was also a middle school concert occurring in the auditorium at the same time.

The release states, "The incident appears to have been an isolated event. Families were able to depart from the school following the incident without problem."
