Showtime Confirms Two-Hour May Premiere for ‘Twin Peaks’ Revival
It’s been a long time coming, and opaque even for David Lynch, but Twin Peaks is finally ready to pour a new cup of coffee. The revived mystery-thriller has at long last confirmed a two-hour May premiere, along with an episode order.
Showtime finally confirmed a May 21 premiere from its presence at the ongoing TCA press tour, keeping roughly with speculation that Lynch would edit together the 18 episodes by mid-2017. The two-hour premiere will also be followed by an additional two episodes landing on Showtime streaming.
New cast includes the likes of Monica Bellucci, Michael Cera, Tim Roth, Ghostbusters alum Ernie Hudson, Walking Dead star Josh McDermitt, and other musicians like Eddie Vedder (who contributes a song) and Trent Reznor. The full listing lies below:
Twin Peaks star Madchen Amick’s return is also set, alongside Dana Ashbrook, Sheryl Lee, Michael Horse, Sherilyn Fenn, Miguel Ferrer, David Patrick Kelly, Richard Beymer and fellow new additions Ashley Judd, James Belushi, Naomi Watts, Tom Sizemore, Laura Dern, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Peter Sarsgaard, Robert Knepper, Amanda Seyfried and Balthazar Getty.
We’ll hear more details in the coming days, but how much will showtime keep teasing Twin Peaks before the premiere?
