The former Allman Brothers Band guitarist will play two sets each night featuring material from his time with the group, as well as songs from Gov't Mule and his own solo work.

Fans can also see their documentary celebrating Joe Cocker and Leon Russell starting this week.

His former Allman Brothers Band collaborator Derek Trucks appears on three songs.

Derek Trucks tells UCR how things like the classic 'Mad Dogs & Englishmen' film and also, his own bloodline connections to the Allman Brothers Band inspired his own work.

He also worked with Styx, Deep Purple, Bon Jovi, Lynyrd Skynyrd and many other legendary acts.

The late Allman Brothers Band guitarist opened an important door.

"I consider it an honor to have crossed musical paths with him," said the Doobie Brothers' Michael McDonald.

With its unprecedented third set, this became one of their longest-ever concerts.

Co-founder of the Allman Brothers Band was 80 years old.

He'd been suffering from cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

"People may find that hard to believe, but it had never happened," Warren Haynes tells UCR. "It was history."
