Grand Rapids Public Library

The library is working with community organizations to help lend out mobile hotspots for remote learning.

The Grand Rapids Public Library enters Phase 3 of their re-opening plan. Of course, with everything during the pandemic, there will be changes and services not offered.

As the election approaches and absentee voting begins, the City of Grand Rapids is making it easier to drop off your absentee ballot as well as other election material.

They're also forgiving any active overdue fines.

They plan on storing them in their permanent archives.

We have a lot of winter activities this weekend. We also have comedy, sports, music, and wine & chocolate! What more do you need for a fun-filled weekend!

We have a lot of outdoor, winter activities this first weekend of 2020. From skating at Rosa Parks Circle to a Winter West Festival at Richmond Park, and snowshoeing at Blandford Nature Center… get out and have some fun this winter. Indoor activities include a Bridal Show, a Model Railroad Show, Finding Your Roots, a show at the Planetarium, Comedy, the Symphony, and Basketball. A weekend full of fun things to do.

Restaurant Week GR continues through the weekend. We have a Greek Festival, a Block Party, Find Your Roots, Catch a Baseball Game, Go ORVing for Free, Enjoy some Comedy, Visit the Princesses at the Zoo, Catch some Jazz Music, and Swim with your Dog! You are going to have a busy weekend!

We have chocolate, we have food, new homes, remodeled homes, comedy, free bike helmets, summer reading, a dog park grand opening and free pinball! Wow, something for everyone this weekend.

The goal is to make the library more accessible to all families.

As we get closer to Christmas, we have more and more seasonal events...from light displays to concerts and stage productions. There are also some sporting events, ugly sweaters, and a chance to honor our veterans.

There are a lot of Christmas themed activities this weekend...including the Santa Parade in downtown Grand Rapids. There is also the International Wine, Beer and Food Festival, a concert on the Mighty Wurlitzer organ at the Grand Rapids Public Museum, Hockey, Basketball and more!
