You may want to stay up late on Sunday night, May 15th, for a chance to see a total lunar eclipse that will be visible in West Michigan -- if the weather cooperates.
The sun, earth and moon will line up just right to create a Super Flower Blood Moon. The celestial event will happen on May 26. Hang on, let me grab my tarot cards...
I'm a big space nerd, so I was all over last night's total lunar eclipse.
I was prepared to stay up until 4 a.m. to watch the entire eclipse. I had my telescope set up and everything!
Unfortunately, those stupid clouds brought that stupid snow and blocked our view of the eclipse!

I’ve always been fascinated with space. When I was a kid I wanted to grow up to be an astronomer, but that involves too much math! I also share a birthday with Nicolas Copernicus, the Polish astronomer who said the Earth goes around the Sun, and I own both a telescope and a star wheel. Like I’ve said before- I’m a nerd.
