This is normally the time of year that road construction projects are wrapping up and the orange construction barrels are put into storage until next spring.
Orange barrels are showing up on area roadways now that construction season is underway. Two new construction projects will begin on Monday, April 18th.
One of the next projects to get underway is located in southern Kent and Barry Counties. MDOT will be resurfacing approximately six miles of M-37 from Middleville north to 92nd Street in Caledonia.

Getting anywhere quickly on US-131 through Grand Rapids this weekend may be close to impossible. Double lane closures for road work will be in place on Saturday and Sunday.
