There have been several TV shows with music and dancing. Did you know that Grand Rapids had similar shows locally produced for West Michigan viewers?

On a recent trip around Lake Michigan, I found a very cool museum located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The museum is full of nothing but bobbleheads!

We knew it as the Chic University of Cosmetology and it was a part of this community for many years. What ever happened to it?

97.9 GRD Rocks will host the fourth annual WGRD Pond Hockey Classic, presented by Labatt Blue and Dematic. More than 40 teams will play on the frozen surface at Richmond Park in Grand Rapids starting Friday night (Jan. 23) and running through Sunday, Jan. 25. Division finals will be the afternoon of Jan. 25.

Hard to believe that this is the fifth year of creative sleds made out of cardboard either crashing and burning or making it to the finish line triumphantly at Cannonsburg Ski Area in Belmont. Whether you crash and burn, it's time to start grabbing the cardboard and tape and making your cardboard bobsled for the 5th Annual Cardboard Bobsled Derby!

So, Part 1 of my Halloween was with the kids. Part 2 was a bit more adult, or at least it was with the people I work with.
