Two teenagers have been charged in connection with a pornographic billboard display along a Michigan highway this past fall.

In September, drivers along I-75 got an eyeful, when about 20 minutes of X-rated material played on an electronic billboard near Auburn Hills.

The Detroit Free Press reports that the Auburn Hills Police Department has charged a 16-year-old from South Lyon and an 18-year-old from Sterling Heights.

The two teens entered the area through a fence that had been previously damaged and were able to get into a building where the billboard was being controlled via laptop. The shed had been unlocked at the time because the company that owned it had forced their way in when the locks froze over and never replaced them.

Auburn Hills Police shared surveillance video of the incident on social media. They say they were able to identify the teens through anonymous tips.

The 16-year-old, who is responsible for entering the shed and posting the pornographic video, has been placed in a juvenile diversion program. If he complies with the program, police say he won't face formal charges. The 18-year-old was charged with trespassing in November.

Authorities say the billboard is now operated remotely to avoid a repeat of the situation.
