The Detroit Tigers Receive Their 11th Sports Illustrated Cover
On June 17th the Tigers will receive their 11th Sports Illustrated cover. Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera will grace the cover of the legendary sporting magazine. The duo are featured as the "Bash Bros - The swing-from-the-heels power and awesomeness of Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder - Baseball's 21st-century version of Mantle and Maris." Those are some pretty big words guys... Better not let us down this season!
This cover isn't the first time a Tiger was featured and it certainly won't be the last time. Check out a timeline of Detroit Tiger covers below. The first SI cover that the Tiger's took over was from May 14, 1956 featuring Al Kaline and Harvey Kuenn.
