And after mounting public pressure, yesterday the Grand Rapids Police Department released footage from the incident from four separate perspectives: The Dashcam footage, the officer's body cam footage, A doorbell camera from one of the neighbors, and cell phone footage from the passenger in Patrick Lyoya's vehicle.

If you haven't seen the footage and would like to, we have it here. Please be warned however that it may be difficult to watch.

GRPD released four different angles of the shooting. It shows the officer pulling Lyoya over, then there was then a struggle that included Lyoya grabbing the officer’s Taser. The officer, who was atop Lyoya as the two struggled, ultimately shot him once in the head, killing him.

After the footage was released, attorney Ben Crump who also represented the families of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor has joined the legal team for the family of Patrick Lyoya. Crump said in a statement Wednesday that the Grand Rapids Police officer whose name has not yet been released, used excessive force and should be arrested and prosecuted for the killing of Lyoya.
