The Polish Heritage Festival is Back for 2021
Like all the other events that had to be cancelled in 2020, the Polish Heritage Festival is planning a return for this summer!
This year the Festival will take pace on Calder Plaza in order to have a little bit more space for things. There will be music, food, drinks, entertainment and more.
The Polish Heritage Festival is schedule for Friday, August 27th through Sunday, August 29th. The festival is free to attend (We all love free events!)
Scheduled for the festival this year are cooking demonstrations, a Polish dance group, lots of music, and children's activities. Along with the events, there will also be lots of Polish food that is made from scratch and prepared on location. And you can't have Polish Festival without a beer tent! There will be one of those too!
There will also be vendors selling Polish merchandise. You will be able to purchase items like pottery, jewelry, baked goods, and a variety of T-shirts.
The Polish Heritage Society of Grand Rapids uses part of the proceeds from this festival to award students of Polish descent scholarships to many different local colleges, including Grand Valley State College, Aquinas, Davenport and Grand Rapids Community College.
To get you into the mood for the Polish Heritage Festival, here is the music from ten bands from previous festivals that you can listen to...
So mark it on your calendar, August 27th, 28th & 29th at Calder Plaza. Get your red and white clothing ready and start practicing your polka dancing!
