The US Coast Guard is reminding Great Lakes boaters to wear bright clothes when you are out on the water this season.

In addition to the usual call for always wearing a life jacket when boating, the Coast Guard is also pushing to wear easily visible clothes.  If you go overboard it is much easier for rescue crews to spot you in the water if your clothes are bright.

Your life jacket will usually be colored in a way that is easy to spot and sometimes might even have reflector strips, but wearing bright colors underneath will increase your chances of being spotted. talked with Lt.
