See and Hear Intense Thundersnow Erupt Across West Michigan
An early December intense Alberta Clipper is brining widespread snowfall to West Michigan tonight (12/4/24). The snow show ignited with a bang as thundersnow was observed across the region from Kalamazoo to Grand Rapids.
The rare winter weather phenomenon was captured on video. You can both see the lightning and hear the crack of thunder.

I saw it! On Broadway about to walk into Union Square, from my perspective it didn’t look like a lightning bolt at all but rather a single point in sky. My girlfriend also saw lightning sitting in our condo facing West towards 131/the river. I’m wondering if it was lateral lightning and I only saw a little bit that poked beneath the cloud cover
