A resident of Windsor, Ontario bordering Detroit recently penned an open letter to her "American Friends" and shared it to social media.
The letter details several steps in what could be seen as a destabilization of relations between the two counties which she shares stating the US media isn't sharing key info.
She includes this worry:
I am NOT sleeping at night. I am very distressed. I have a concrete action plan for escaping with my kid as soon as Trump decides to INVADE Canada. Focus on that for a second. Dude is preparing to invade us.

The post suggests a scenario where southern Ontario from Kingston near the New York border at the Thousands Islands south to Windsor is the poster's area of concern and ties the automotive and manufacturing of the region to the threatened tariffs that could be imposed.
