Want Summer Concerts? They’re Back at Meijer Gardens with Foreigner and More
It's only February, but the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park just announced their three summer concert series – Fifth Third Bank Summer Concerts at Meijer Gardens, Tuesday Evening Music Club and the Jim & Marie Preston Sunday Strings, featuring musicians from the Grand Rapids Symphony and West Michigan will be back big-time this summer!
The Fifth Third Bank Summer Concerts will be June - September. They always have a great mix of acts, alternative, indie, blues and rock. And, this year’s lineup will include Amos Lee, Foreigner and Australian Pink Floyd and a whole bunch more. They're teasing us with these acts, but promise to announce the complete lineup in April.
The Tuesday Evening Music Club, which is free for members, always features talented local and regional musicians Tuesday evenings in June, July and August starting at 7 p.m.
Then, there is the Jim & Marie Preston Sunday Strings, also free to members. Those performances will also return on select Sundays. Led by violinist Haijin Choi, these chamber music performances happen throughout the Gardens & Sculpture Park and will feature combinations of violin, harp, marimba, mandolin, cello and more.
As always, Members of Meijer Gardens will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets for the 2022 Fifth Third Bank Summer Concerts during an exclusive two-week members-only presale beginning at 9 am on Saturday, April 23. During the pre-sale, members receive a $5 discount per ticket. To become a member or renew a membership, visit MeijerGardens.org/Membership.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning Saturday, May 7.
