The biggest weekend of Summer is here the 4th of July. And while wearing a mask may save part of your face from the sun here are some great sunsreens and tanning lotions that work really well and are really affordable.

Don't you remember the advice "Always Wear Sunscreen"

Interesting that Consumer's Reports both came to some of the same recommendations, two years in a row. As seen on GMA and NBC-TV.

Another tip for kids - use lotions or gel sunscreens vs. spray so they don't inhale the fumes which could irritate their lungs.

And if you forgot to reapply your sunscreen and you're a little sunburnt...here are a few remedies to help.

#1 Aloe Vera - easy to find at any pharmacy or grocery store. Apply liberally after getting out of the sun and before going to bed. This may help stop your skin from peeling.

#2 Apple Cider Vinegar - will relieve the burn...but would also go with the Aloe Vera after the vinegar.

#3 Baking Soda - make a paste and apply - it will cool the burn. Be careful around your eyes.

#4 Coconut Oil - Like Aloe Vera it will immediately help cool the burn and will be absorbed into your skin.

#5 and more: Oatmeal - make a paste and apply to skin, Tea - brew up some strong black Tea and after it cools apply to skin. Honey - it's sticky and you may want to lick your arm. But it works...not sure I'd go to bed wearing honey - but good recipe for quick relief and probably a few laughs from your friends.
