It may seem like common sense but here's a PSA to start your day: It doesn't matter how much people tick you off... do not threaten them! Furthermore, don't get into an argument with children and then threaten to "shoot up" their school.

A 24-year-old man from Holland just pled guilty to making threats to a high school in Vermont. Seems kind of, right? How did a West Michigan man get involved with kids from another state?

According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office in Vermont, the incident happened in 2019 when Jason Graham got into an argument on Facebook with students from Green Mountain Union High School. It's unknown what the actual argument was about but it got bad enough that Graham then threatened to "shoot up" the school. As if that wasn't enough he took it even further by then having someone call the school, a few days later, and threaten that a bomb was planted in the building.

When police traced it back to Graham, they found that he was already under supervision due to previous felonies. Upon searching his home they also found an unregistered firearm.

Graham was then arrested and convicted of a Michigan firearm violation, and recently completed his minimum state term of incarceration for that conviction.

He was just tried for the threats in Vermont, which the governor spoke at citing that more than half the school didn't show up due to the threat.

He pled guilty but a sentencing hasn't been handed down yet. The U.S. Attorney's office says his maximum sentence would be one year and one day.
