This week, U.S. News & World Report announced the Top 100 best places to retire in the United States.

It's not surprising to see Florida and Texas dominate the list, the two states hold six of the top nine spots, but Michigan and Pennsylvania made the cut too.

Housing affordability and healthcare quality both helped to propel Grand Rapids towards the top.

Detroit ranked 59th and is the only other Michigan city on the list.
