An uncomfortable moment between Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith that was captured in an Instagram Live has resurfaced online, and it is causing a stir.

In the video, which made the rounds on Reddit, Pinkett Smith turns the camera on her unsuspecting husband and asks him a question about an upcoming guest on her podcast, Red Table Talk.

Smith appears unhappy to find himself suddenly on the internet. Instead of answering her question about therapist Esther Perel, the King Richard star expresses his discomfort.

"I would say don't just start filming me without asking me," he says in the clip.

"Esther, come help us again, please," she replies. "I'm still dealing with foolishness."

Pinkett Smith tries to keep the conversation on track. However, her husband isn't having it.

"My social media presence is my bread and butter, okay? So you can't just use me for social media and not... I'm standing in my house. Don't just start rolling," he says.

Pinkett Smith then encourages fans to tune in for the conversation with Perel, who she sarcastically claims has been helpful in the couple's relationship.

"Can't you tell?" she deadpans.

Although the video appears undated, Newsweek reports Perel was a guest on Red Table Talk in 2019.

The Instagram Live has gotten fans weighing in on the couple's relationship online.

Many critics argue Pinkett Smith was in the wrong in the situation. Some went as far as to accuse her of bullying her husband.

"If y’all seen the clip of Jada forcing Will to respond on Instagram live is straight proof she is the problem," one Twitter user wrote. "When he doesn’t wanna reply she cry’s [sic] that they need 'help' again. Homie looks exhausted, poor dude."

"Seeing that Instagram live thing Jada did changed my whole perspective on Will Smith honestly," another wrote. "Before I was like ‘haha he’s crazy’ but now I genuinely feel so horrible for him."

"[I've] gone from liking him, to hating him to feeling sorry for him in the space of a week," another user tweeted.

The brief clip reappeared in the wake of Smith's controversial behavior at the 2022 Academy Awards.

He took to the stage and slapped Chris Rock across the face after the comedian made a joke about Pinkett Smith's shaved head while presenting an award.

Smith has since been banned from attending the Oscars for 10 years.
